EARLVILLE, Iowa -- In the final results from Tri-State Raceway, Federal-Mogul Dragster driver Randy Meyer and Federal-Mogul Funny Car driver Chuck Cheeseman took home the honors. Meyer of Spring Hill, Kan., upset number one qualifier Bruce Bowler of Denver, in the final with a 5.989-second, 211.56 mph pass to take the win. Galena, Ohio, resident Cheeseman faced Cy Chesterman of Sioux City, Iowa, in a battle of number one and two qualifiers. Cheeseman's 5.843-second run at 249.51 mph was enough to turn on the win lights. Winners in other categories are Lucky Snyder of Longmont, Colo., in Comp; Jim Langer of Forest Lake, Minn., in Super Stock; Clint Blezien of Bensenville, Ill., in Stock; Billy Maddox of Sidney, Neb., in Super Comp; Gary Stinnett of Emporia, Kan., in Super Gas; John Miller of Waterloo, Iowa, in Super Street; and Jarron Christianson of Vinton, Iowa, in Pro Bike. The West Central Division Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series makes its final stop of the year at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, September 21-23.
