Taylor came in carrying a 0.21-second CIC, Volpe just 0.07. The burden was too much and Volpe screamed by at 179 mph for the win without incurring any further penalty. Margin of victory = 0.073 seconds (approximately 18 feet).

Butner came in with a total CIC penalty of -0.14, Bailey -0.10. Butner left first and hard, then broke at half track, allowing Bailey to coast through the lights for the win without any further penalty. Bailey will face the potent AA Altered of Volpe in the final round.
