CLERMONT, Ind. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Bike at the 47th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.258/184.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.248/178.66, Was #5
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 7.334/180.55, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.189/186.12, Was #2

It looked like Brown was running quicker than he did.

Left Lane: Bruce Dickson Runs 8.039/163.43, Now #26; Best prior run: 7.820/170.79, Was #26

Dickson on a solo pass can't find the horsepower.

Left Lane: Dennis Mirante Runs 7.836/171.99, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.771/162.78, Was #25

Mirante had a hard time keeping the bike off the retaining wall almost all the way down the track.

Left Lane: Geno Scali Runs 7.442/177.16, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.478/168.66, Was #21
Right Lane: Blaine Hale Runs 7.454/174.17, Now #21; No Prior Run

No apparent problems for either rider.

Left Lane: Connie Cohen No Time, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.451/177.56, Was #20
Right Lane: Neil Jacobs Runs 7.738/144.43, Now #24; Best prior run: 7.610/163.85, Was #24

Cohen's engine went silent right after the hit, the bike coasting to a stop at 800 feet.

Johnson helps himself quite a bit with this pass.
