CLERMONT, Ind. -- Antron Brown will try to defend his Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel title as the No. 1 seed at the special event for NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors Sept. 1 during the 47th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

The total purse for the 10th annual Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel is $36,000. The winner will earn $15,000. Any rider who can win the Duel and the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals on Sept. 3 will earn a $10,000 'double-up' bonus from the NHRA.

The Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel runner-up will earn $5,000. The two semi-finalists will earn $3,000 each, while the four first-round finishers will earn $2,500 apiece.

Brown, from Chesterfield, N.J., rode his Team 23 Suzuki to his first Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel victory last year, defeating Angelle Savoie in the final. With the victory, Brown ended the four-year reign of Matt Hines, who claimed the title from 1996-'99.

Brown claimed the No. 1 spot for the special event by earning six No. 1 qualifying efforts during the 14 NHRA events preceding the Duel. He will face Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel rookie Reggie Showers in the first round.

Team Winston Suzuki rider Savoie enters the special event as the No. 2 seed, also with six No. 1 qualifying efforts. She will face Steve Johnson in the opening round. Hines, with one No. 1 qualifying effort, is qualified third and will face Shawn Gann in the first round.

Pro Stock Motorcycle riders receive $50,000 during the Duel series. In addition to the $36,000 available in the Duel, $14,000 in bonuses are awarded to quick qualifiers throughout the Duel series.

Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel rounds are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., 2:20 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 1. The Holley Pro Stock Dominator Duel will be televised on ESPN2 on Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. (ET).
