Left Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 6.996/198.03, Now #19; Best prior run: 11.992/72.69, Was #43 Right Lane: Larry Peternel Runs 7.195/192.25, Now #38; Best prior run: 29.690/46.47, Was #45 Troy Coughlin with a big leap in performance, but not enough to get in the show. Peternel with a good pass but not even close. Stevens made a move in the right direct, but not enough to get in the show. Watson with a nice straight pass down the groove to get in the show and that bumped out Nobile. Johnson with the slight improvement, but not near enough. No help for Marnell and he stays number seven . That wraps up this session with Krisher on top and W.J. on the bump, with Osborne setting the mph track record at 200.74 mph.
