MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Dragster at the 13th annual AutoZone Nationals presented by Pennzoil:

1:30 PM Stark really has the new car sorted out, already rewriting the FMD speed record and certain to be challenging the ET mark before long. Here he gives Bohr a 0.83 second head start and runs him down to win by a margin of victory = 0.126 seconds (approximately 43 feet). Stark gets the win and a bye into the final round.

Shelly's is the third-quickest blown car in the category and she wanted to get into the thirties here, but tire shake has been her enemy all weekend. That was the case on this run, heavy tire shake on the launch, forcing her to pedal it. She had a good early lead because of her holeshot, but Reichert ran her down and the race was about even at half track, then Howard's car pulled away to win by a Margin of victory = 0.146 seconds (approximately 50 feet).

After a brief delay while the Safety Safari cleaned up oil in the shutdown area, in Howard's lane, Buff made his bye run. He went for lane choice, driving through a big move toward the wall at half track without lifting, and got lane choice against Howard in the semifinals.
