BAYTOWN, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the 4th annual Matco Tools SuperNationals presented by Racing Champions listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Bo Nickens Runs 7.030/197.33, Now #1

2:21 PM Yes, folks, it's Bo NIckens in a Dodge RT Pro Stock car - no more messing around with the trucks. He licensed last week and would have run at Dallas if rain hadn't gotten in the way. He launches with a 1.055 60-foot time and makes a clean run.

Right Lane: Brad Klein Runs 6.992/196.70, Now #1

The pace will be quick...Klein's run is surprisingly quick.

Yates launched and the car almost stopped before he got it back in gear and running. Meanwhile Patrick took over the top spot on a nice run, the first to better Klein's mark.

Right Lane: Brad Jeter No Time, Now #17

Jeter pulled out of line and didn't run.

Klein's run is still hanging in there in the second spot...and Geoffrion fails to knock him off.

Right Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.967/197.88, Now #1

Now we're getting into the heavy hitters. Smith makes a nice run to take over the top spot - it's Camaro, Mustang, Firebird, and Avenger in the top four right now.

Right Lane: Tom Martino Runs 6.996/196.79, Now #5

Allen's car got out of the groove, over near the wall, and fishtailed several times. Nice pass by Alderman, right down the groove.
