12:49 PM No doubt about this one as Bartone has been in the 5.6 range all weekend. Branch gave it a game try but could catch him.

Austin does a great driving job and pulls out the holeshot win over Cheeseman. Austin was not able to secure lane choice over Bartone in the semi finals.

Simpson gets a psychic light but it's no help as the West coast hitter goes to the next round.

Payne had to really push to catch Jones as his light was much less than sterling. Payne disappeared behind a cloud of smoke from the right side of the engine. I believe was a down for a major clean up. If Payne makes it back he will face Larry Miner, without the benefit of lane choice.
