BAYTOWN, Texas - Results of round 3 eliminations in Funny Car at the 4th annual Matco Tools SuperNationals presented by Racing Champions:

3:14 PM Gilbertson has put away a couple of big names earlier in the day but he's going to face his most difficult task with the 2000 Winston Champion in the other lane. Every time some one has gotten close today Force has responded. Can Gilbertson win severn rounds in a row here in Houston? No! The Tank blew the tires off early in the run and Force was glued to the track. Will Force meet his team mate in the next round? Stay tuned.

The two oil cars stage and leave almost together. Whit was playing catch up and pulled almost even with the Mustang. At that point the Kendall-Matco Camaro began to haze the tires and Bazemore could only watch as Pedregon pulled away. The final against Force should be interesting since Tony is close for third place with Toliver and not that far behind Capps for second in the points race.
