ENNIS, Texas - 10:30 AM 11/3/00 - Graham Light, NHRA Senior Vice President, Racing Operations just briefed the "game plan" for finishing the 15th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec to the Professional drivers. With rain drumming on the roof of the Racers for Christ tent and water running across the gravel floor, Light announced the following guidelines:

- Today (Friday) is the only day during which qualifying runs will be attempted.

- All fields will be set by the end of the day.

- Only completed qualifying sessions will be considered when setting ladders for eliminations.

- Should there be no completed qualifying session to set the field for an eliminator, the ladder will be set using current driver points to establish pairings among those cars actually on the grounds.

- Qualifying points will be awarded regardless of which qualifying method is used.

- Eliminations will be run whenever the weather Saturday, Sunday, or Monday (if necessary) permits.

- We will stay here until Monday evening, if necessary, to complete the event.
