ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Federal-Mogul Dragster at the 15th annual O'Reilly Fall Nationals presented by Castrol Syntec:

12:34 PM Bowler was a no-show, so the Darien & Meadows A-Fueler had a free ride into the second round. The crew didn't look happy with this run, though it looked pretty good from here. By the way, Brandon Bernstein (Kenny's son) will be driving this car next year, preparing to take over the wheel of the Budweiser King dragster in a couple years.

Foley also failed to make the return trip here, so Foley gets a freebie of his own. He made an easy pass, right down the groove.

Shelley had Wells covered all the way to the 1,000-foot marker, then the engine started eating itself and Wells drove by to win by a margin of victory = 0.047 seconds (approximately 17 feet), also earning lane choice against Faria in round two..

Bybee was another no-show. Buff went for lane choice on a strong pass, the revs getting a bit high in first gear before he shifted.

Ancona was in as an alternate, but his engine would not fire, so Fuentes got a solo run. He went right down the groove on a smooth pass.

Snow was also in as an alternate. Meyer was way early, then ran his best lap of the weekend, while Snow launched and then shut it off almost immediately, a winner nonetheless. Buff will have lane choice against Snow in round two.

Final pair. Federlin left early and Meyer ran low ET of the round, by a ton, easily earning lane choice over Hentges in round two.
