Right Lane: Steve Johns Runs 7.488/179.68, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.533/178.31, Was #4

Johns moves right to the top of the field. He had a 1.05 60 foot number and held the momentum all the way to the finish. Eaton improves slightly.

Right Lane: Larry Kopp Runs 7.606/178.24, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.624/176.88, Was #21

Celedon was loose off the line and it didn't get any better down track. Smith picks up but not enough to crack a tough field.

Right Lane: Craig Eaton Runs 7.565/178.00, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.586/176.53, Was #17

Right Lane: Jeff Gracia Runs 7.509/178.66, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.662/176.97, Was #26

Both drivers make the field and Gracia does it big time. That puts out Eaton and Price. John Coughlin is the next to go.

Left Lane: Larry Seay Runs 7.514/178.14, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.530/177.98, Was #10
Right Lane: John Coughlin Runs 7.524/178.64, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.562/177.39, Was #16

Coughlin moves himself off the bump and the new holder is Whisnant.

Right Lane: Todd Patterson Runs 7.615/177.11, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.639/175.14, Was #26

The last driver of the session, Patterson, fails to crack the field. Steve Johns holds down the top spot and Whisnant is the hanger on. The conditions for the final session promise to be much colder than this one.
