2:10 PM Stevens left first after a brief (nine-second) staging delay, but his car got a bit loose on the top end and KJ drove by for an easy win.

Smith was very tardy and then his car got out of shape on the top end, almost crossing the centerline at 1,000 feet. Allen wins, but loses lane choice to Kurt Johnson in the semifinals.
