5:06 PM Jeg comes in with 10 event wins this year, but he's never beaten Kurt in a final round - including two times this year. Make that three times, the two cars leaving together and then Kurt slowly drawing ahead in "the bad lane," the margin of victory = 0.032 seconds (approximately 9 feet). That breaks a three-event win streak here for Coughlin, who has been in the last seven straight final rounds at Pomona. Next year these two will bear competition numbers 1 and 2, but tonight Kurt is number 1.
