   2 Frank Pedregon 4.879 308.71 Q 10 Ron Capps 5.002 282.36

This was a great drag race. They were glued together all the way down the track as Capps got the early lead. Pedregon was charging hard at the end but couldn't make up enough ground to catch Capps.
