READING - Pro Stock Bike Qualifying Notes, Session #2

MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Bike at the 16th annual Keystone Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:


Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.524/173.34, Now #19; Best prior run: 8.032/177.00, Was #27
Right Lane: Lori Francis Runs 13.977/53.78, Now #27; Best prior run: 7.916/154.14, Was #26

8:02 PM This round was scheduled to go off at 6:45 ET, but it's been raining off and on. Arana improves on his first run but is still not in. Francis gets very close to the wall and has to shut it down.

Left Lane: Dan Baisley Runs 7.769/163.14, Now #26; Best prior run: 7.802/166.21, Was #26
Right Lane: Don DeTurck Runs 7.761/166.81, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.721/172.19, Was #25

Baisley makes a good run for him but can't get in the field.

Left Lane: Brian Ayers Runs 7.609/171.18, Now #24; Best prior run: 7.582/176.60, Was #24
Right Lane: Ron Ayers Runs 16.610/44.35, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.535/178.12, Was #22

Ron Ayers launches good but then something happens and the bike coasts through the lights.

Left Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.341/175.43, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.562/156.92, Was #23
Right Lane: Chris Reuter Runs 7.626/157.96, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.527/176.26, Was #21

Phillips runs a career best ET and gets in the seventh spot for now. No help for Reuter.

Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 9.279/89.88, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.514/177.60, Was #19
Right Lane: Neil Jacobs Runs 7.812/137.67, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.525/181.13, Was #21

DeSantis comes off the line, heads for the centerline and has to back off the throttle.

Left Lane: Scott Cannon Runs 7.740/140.72, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.489/177.58, Was #17
Right Lane: Brian DeLong Runs 7.426/181.57, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.514/180.07, Was #18



Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.544/160.02, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.451/179.40, Was #14
Right Lane: Clarence Markham Runs 7.424/179.64, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.471/178.21, Was #17

Markham improves and gets back in the field. Johnson doesn't improve and loses a spot to number fifteen.

Left Lane: Reggie Showers Runs 7.472/174.84, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.417/177.00, Was #11
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.436/175.55, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.467/177.35, Was #17

Berry was just bumped from the field and gets back in on this run. Johnson is now on the bump.

Left Lane: Shawn Gann No Time, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.378/177.56, Was #9
Right Lane: Rob Short Runs 7.421/183.79, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.452/173.90, Was #17

Gann breaks just off the line and records no time. Short gets in the field and bumps out Johnson.

Left Lane: Greg Underdahl Runs 12.637/61.60, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.365/181.54, Was #8
Right Lane: Geno Scali Runs 7.328/179.18, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.437/180.81, Was #16

Underdahl comes off the line and shuts it down. Scali makes a great run and gets off the bump.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.334/178.76, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.289/178.66, Was #5
Right Lane: Tony Mullen Runs 7.261/183.64, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.413/179.56, Was #11

Mullen makes a good run and gets in the number two spot. Treble doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Angelle Seeling Runs 7.269/168.22, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.279/179.44, Was #4
Right Lane: Blaine Hale Runs 7.321/181.06, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.323/181.13, Was #7

Hale runs another career best ET but doesn't improve his position in the field.

Left Lane: John Smith Runs 7.289/178.19, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.276/184.47, Was #4
Right Lane: Matt Hines Runs 7.195/185.54, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.287/179.21, Was #5

Hines makes an impressive run to take over the pole.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 7.267/180.09, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.234/184.55, Was #2

Brown was just bumped from the pole and would like to get it back here. He slows from his earlier run and will have to settle for the second spot for now. We end this round with Hines on the pole and Berry on the bump with a 7.436.
