7:38 PM This is the 20th final round meeting between Force and Pedregon. Force leads the series 12-7. This is Pedregon's first final since since last years Matco Tools Spring SuperNationals. Pedregon gets a holeshot on Force but Force ran him down by the time they got to the 330 foot mark. Force then breaks the tires loose and starts to pedal. Pedregon gets a little past half-track and sparks start coming out from under the car and it noses over. Force sees this and tries to get back into it but to no avail. This is the first win for Cruz since the Matco Nationals in Houston in 1998. Force leaves this race with a 222 point lead on Jerry Toliver with only six races remaining.
