A couple of nitro burners here in the finals. Bowen with a slight starting line advantage, but Hirata has the difference made up by 100 feet. Both of these nitro burners kept the candle lit all the way down the quarter mile with the header flames flickering over the big rear wings. Both of these guys with their slowest pass of eliminations and Hirata taking his second national event win of the year.
