Bowen left first and then had the big top end charge to stretch out the win.

A injected nitro match up here and McPhillips engine started eating itself up around half track and that was all Hirata needed to turn on the win light.

Bozzelli with the bye here and it was needed as he shook the tires hard as soon as he hit the throttle. Bozzelli will give up lane choice to Bowen.

Ahrberg launched with the front end in the air and when it came back to earth it headed toward the centerline to give DeAngelis the win. DeAngelis will lose lane choice to Hirata in the semi-finals.
