3:02 PM We're down to the semi finals in the Federal-Mogul classes and about to find out who goes to the final. Cheeseman wanted a good light and came within .001 of getting it. .399 red was the result and Manzo decided to coast to the finish.

Newberry made the burnout and when they returned to the line a problem was found and he was forced to shut off. Bartone was told he had a single and proceeded to roll in to deep and lighted both lights before he had the engine rpm up. He waited after the green, which was why the light was so bad, and brought the rpm up. The patience brings him lane choice in the final over Manzo.
