CORDOVA - Pro Outlaw Qualifying Notes, Final Session

CORDOVA, Ill. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Outlaw at the 21st annual Amalie Motor Oil Summer Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Laurie Cannister Runs 6.211/214.55, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.168/211.83, Was #2
Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 6.171/219.26, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.162/221.49, Was #1

Snyder launched with the front end in the air, and set them down nicely and motored on through the quarter mile.

Left Lane: Ed Lyons Runs 6.323/214.42, Now #4; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Mike Decker Runs 6.082/221.02, Now #1; No Prior Run

Decker finally made a pass this weekend and what a pass.

Left Lane: Scott Ray No Time, Now #9; Best prior run: 8.791/88.99, Was #8
Right Lane: Dave Christensen Runs 7.617/187.03, Now #8; No Prior Run

Ray broke on the burnout and had to watch Christensen knock him out of the show. Christensen pedaled it once around half track and then labored it on through the 1320.

Right Lane: Gary Leczner Runs 6.647/205.35, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.565/205.01, Was #5

Leczner did not help himself here.

Right Lane: Jim Walter Runs 6.484/205.60, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.636/204.48, Was #7

Walter jumped a couple spots to finish qualifying for Pro Outlaw.
