stretching that advantage slightly all the way down the track, never "headed"
(sorry, couldn't resist at least one pun). Both cars smoked the tires on the top

Romine had this won for the first 1,000 feet, but then his car nosed over and
Millican got a lucky win. Millican's car dropped a couple cylinders on the right
side and the car drifted right, almost collecting the guard rail near the finish
