5:51 PM Woods chose the left lane for his A-Fuel dragster. He launched,
started to spin the tires, and then there was an explosion (small compared
with the two big blown fuel explosions this weekend) and he coasted to a stop
before reaching the finish line. Santos wins yet another event against the
seemingly insurmountable performance edge of the A-Fuel cars with an
impressive display of consistently quick runs. Congratulations to the 1999
