Left Lane: Tom Martino Runs 6.933/199.40, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.960/199.11, Was #8
Right Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 7.078/195.76, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.993/197.45, Was #15

2:15 PM This session opens with Randy Jones on the bubble at 7.001 seconds, the only seven-second ET in the field. It's sunny and warmer this afternoon, so don't look for any new track records. Martino cards a 1.038 60-foot time here, not bad at all!

Yates solves the equations correctly today and moves up a spot as a reward for the right answer.

Edwards shook pretty hard on the launch. A lot of the trucks had the same problem, the launch pad rubber buildup starting to tear away under the bright sunshine.

Thomas' car made a sudden move to the right around the 1,000-foot marker, but he drove through it nicely to bump Jones and replace him on the bubble.

Krisher shut off before staging. Jeg laid down a very nice run to bump Thomas and put Robert Patrick on the bubble at 6.993.

WJ spun the tires on the launch and KJ's car did a little dance just off the starting line.

Troy steps up with a great launch, a 1.038 60-foot time (matching Martino) to move around Mark Pawuk in the order.

Anderson bumps Patrick, puts Alderman on the bubble at 6.982. No help for "Cowboy."

Right Lane: Mike Trumble Runs 6.964/198.67, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.977/198.47, Was #14

Eckman posts a 1.048 60-foot time, but was unable to run the numbers on the top end. Nice improvement by Trumble.

Gillig puts it together and bumps Alderman, leaving Greg Anderson on the bubble at the end of the session with a 6.980, the big moves of the round made by the Coughlin boys.
