BAYTOWN, Texas - Light, recurring rain and cooling temperatures brough racing to a halt at 8:27 PM at the 3rd annual Matco Tools SuperNationals at Houston Raceway Park with five pairs of Pro Stock cars still waiting in the staging lanes.

Qualifying is secured - those ten cars will not get a fourth qualifying opportunity. Eliminations in Stock, Super Stock, Super Gas, and Super Comp scheduled for Saturday night will be run starting at 8:00 AM Sunday, followed by the first round of eliminations for Competition Eliminator cars.

Final eliminations will begin at 11:00 AM, as originally scheduled. The weather forecast for Sunday calls for sixty-degree temperatures and partly cloudy skies, so the racing should be exciting.
