BAYTOWN, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Bike at the 3rd annual Matco Tools SuperNationals presented by Racing Champions listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: David Feazell Runs 7.696/169.04, Now #1
Right Lane: Lori Francis Runs 7.974/159.80, Now #2

1:40 PM and the bikes are ready to make their 1st qualifying runs of the weekend. We start the session with a pair of Harleys.

Left Lane: John Smith Runs 7.356/180.00, Now #1
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.570/181.37, Now #2

Arana moved toward the centerline at 100', but was able to bring it back into the groove.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.448/181.98, Now #2
Right Lane: Brian Ayers Runs 7.620/177.44, Now #4

Johnson is stil racing with Rick Ward horsepower.

Left Lane: Brian DeLong Runs 7.513/180.50, Now #4
Right Lane: Matt Hines Runs 7.259/185.36, Now #1

Hines takes a ride straight down the track to the top qualifying spot, so far.

Left Lane: Larry Cook No Time, Now #10
Right Lane: Fred Camarena Runs 7.496/175.52, Now #4

Cook broke on the line.

Right Lane: Reggie Showers No Time, Now #12

Showers was shut off at the line, fluid leaking from his engine.

Right Lane: Greg Underdahl Runs 7.432/182.16, Now #4

Solid runs by both riders.

Left Lane: Bruce Dickson Runs 9.723/105.73, Now #14

Dickson bogged down on the launch, never got it up to full power.
