Self lost control near the finish line, got out near the centerline, then spun into the wall past the right-side Winston scoreboard. Self was talking to the rescue crew and trying to get out of the car when they got to him. He got out of the car and walked to the ambulance. The car Self was driving is reportedly the chassis that Warren Johnson used to make the first-ever 200 mph Pro Stock run.
