BRISTOL, Tenn. -- The pairings of Federal-Mogul Funny Car and Dragster have been set for Sunday's elimination rounds at the NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series event at Bristol Dragway.

The national Federal-Mogul Funny Car champion, Frank Manzo, from Morganville, N.J. finished Saturday's qualifying in the fifth position, opposite the current number two Federal-Mogul Funny Car racer, Tony Bartone, from Manhasset, N.Y. Bartone is in the number two position of the qualifying ladder, so it is likely that these two rivals could meet in the semi-final round of competition.

"I know that a lot of people consider this to be a big deal, because Tony and I are so close in the points right now, but I'm just here to race," Manzo said. "I know that he's [Bartone] a competitive racer but we might not even have to run him, for all I know we could go out in the first round."

Gates open at 8 a.m. Sunday at Bristol Dragway, and eliminations begin at 10 a.m. Federal-Mogul Dragster and Funny Car have first round eliminations beginning at 1 p.m.

The following are the final qualifying results and Sunday's elimination pairings for Federal-Mogul Dragster and Funny Car, from the NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series event at Bristol Dragway, the last of six events in the NHRA Southeast Division:
