The track temperature is 90 degrees and that is the hottest it has been all weekend. The skies are sunny with a brisk 56 degrees at 51% humidity, and the barometer is 30.37 inches. Scelzi has had Amato's number winning three out their four previous match ups. Amato with a slight hole-shot and then Scelzi loses traction, pedals it and then starts to smoke the big Goodyears again. Amato extends his round winning string to seven and help himself a lot toward the championship.

Herbert goes in deep, real deep. He then nails him on the tree and has the power to hold off the hard charging points leader. Herbert take the win light by 0.032 seconds (approximately 15 feet). Herbert's 4.661 has lane choice over Amato's 4.665 in the final. If Amato can win this race he will leave with the points lead.
