TOPEKA - Funny Car Round 2 Eliminations

TOPEKA, Kan. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the 11th annual Advance Auto Parts Nationals:

11:45 AM and we're ready for second round eliminations in Funny Car. Bazemore was up in smoke on the hit. Pedregon made it 200' then he lost traction. Bazemore saw this, got back on the throttle and motored on by Pedregon, who was unsuccessfully trying to pedal out of his tire spin.

Powell had this race won until half track when the engine tossed the blower belt. Both cars were running fast up until that point. Johnson will have lane choice over Bazemore in the third round.

Worsham boils the hides almost immediately and can only sit and watch the flawless run enjoyed by Force.

There was no visible problem as Epler's engine went dead at 330'. Pedregon gets close to the track ET record set by Epler yesterday, and will have lane choice over his boss, John Force, in round three.
