GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Fuel Bike at the 30th Annual Mac Tools Gatornationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Chris Hand Runs 7.767/155.92, Now #2
Right Lane: Larry McBride Runs 6.603/171.05, Now #1

Hand starts smoking the slick as soon as he turns the throttle, but he was off and on the throttle to drive it on through. McBride carries the front tire to the eighth mile and when he sets it down the bike heads toward the centerline.

Left Lane: Sam Webb Runs 6.620/211.56, Now #2
Right Lane: Tony Lang Runs 8.028/213.64, Now #4

Lang smokes the rear slick and then drives it on through for big mile per hour. Webb gets it down the track without any problems.
