02:35 PM With the current conditions, (hot and sunny) tuning one of these A fuel dragsters like Mark's can be a real challenge. Nicholson has steadily improved all weekend, and looks tough here.

Wood's dropped clyinders coming off the concrete pad, and never had a chance to catch Nicholson who dropped down in the 5.50's for the first time this weekend.

Number 12 in the world in 1998 in the left lane, number 2 in the world last year in the right, this is a great matchup. Carlson has been on a tear in 1999, he runner-upped at Pomona a few weeks ago.

Henkelman shook the tires hard, pedaled once and aborted the run. Carlson then opened the door when he blew out a burst panel, but coasted on to the finish line for the win. It wasn't pretty, in fact it was downright ugly, but Carlson is going to the finals for the second time in as many events.
