12:00 PM High noon and the first pair of gunfighters squares off - Johnson made his best pass right out of the box, Yates in his final qualifying run. On a holeshot, give the victory to the Dodge. Margin of victory = 0.017 seconds, approximately 4.9 feet.

Instant tire shake for Nobile. Schmidt's chute fouled and didn't open until way down the shutdown area, so he took the scenic desert tour at the end of the track.

Coughlin was on time and Rickie was uncharacteristically late. Troy loses lane choice to Marnell next round.

WJ on a holeshot! Couldn't see what went wrong, but Johnson was way off pace and loses lane choice to Allen Johnson in round two. Margin of victory = 0.006 seconds, approximately 1.7 feet.

Nice light by Kurt, who was way out front all the way down the track and earned lane choice against Schmidt in round two.

Margin of victory = 0.014 seconds, approximately 4 feet. Allen got the holeshot, but the new car couldn't match its qualifying numbers and Thomas had a chance to reel him in. But Thomas couldn't match his Saturday performance either and Allen advances, losing lane choice to Jeg Coughlin in round two.
