2:54 PM Good drag race, the Goodwin-Swayne flopper leaving right with Austin and then flat outrunning him with their second mid-seventy ET of the day.

Gasparrelli's car continued its wayward behavior here, crossing the centerline and DQ'ing the run. With Parker's nice run it probably didn't matter anyway.

Another good race, Sommer with the holeshot and Bucky making up the difference by half-track.

Alexander's car didn't sound right when they started the engine and at the end of the burnout the engine expired with a loud POP. He pulled it over against the wall so Taylor could make his solo pass without having to shut off. Taylor launched the car and then shut it off, saving the parts for the semifinals.
