POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the 39th annual NHRA AutoZone Winternationals:

Ugly race. Creasy was up in smoke and almost hits the wall. Densham is watching the smoke and his engine is mixing cylinders. Before the finish line it appears that Densham has a clutch break. Last year Densham couldn't buy a win, even running well. So far today the luck bank is getting a large withdrawal.

Bazemore is up in smoke and Tony Pedregon never looks back. Pedregon will face either Skuza or Pulde. The five disk clutch seemed to work real well that time.

Pulde is right with Skuza until a blower belt comes off. Skuza is forced to pedal twice but still comes up with the big speed. Skuza will have lane choice over Tony Pedregon but Tony seems to like the right lane anyway.

Pedregon can just watch as Force just lays one on him. First off the line and way ahead at every interval. Force has lane choice over Densham in the semifinal but it doesn't seem to matter. Strange things seem to happen against Gary, today.
