POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Stock at the 34th annual NHRA Winston Finals:

Yates is out of the gate first, but then slaloms down his lane as he used up all of it. Marnell moves on to his first semi-final of the year.

Warren will be trying to avenge his lost to Martino from the last race. They both take their time staging, finally Warren goes in Martino still takes his time. He finally goes in, Warren welds him on the tree. Martino makes a violent move toward the centerline, and does great job driving it, but finally aborts it.

Stevens with the starting line advantage, and holds off the hard charging Johnson for a 0.020 seconds win.

Thomas loses traction around the 330-foot mark and finally has to lift. Jeg continues to roll this is six straight round wins for the rookie of the year candidate.

WJ has lane choice over Jeg, and Stevens has lane choice over Marnell in the semis.
