POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Truck at the 34th annual NHRA Winston Finals:

Nickens won the very first truck race, can he bookend them taking the last race of the season? The temperature is 67 degrees, humidity is 36% and the barometer is 30.12 inches.

Nickens is out of the gate first and Lewis makes a move toward the wall and then uses up all of his lane. Nickens holds on to win by .023 seconds.

Daniels breaks as soon as he lets the clutch out, and this gives Hill the easy win, but he gives up lane choices to Freeman.
