BAYTOWN, Texas -
Greetings from a sunny Houston Raceway Park, with the emphasis on "sunny."
There are no clouds in sight, all the way out to the horizon in every
direction. With an expected afternoon high of 78 degrees, we should see some
excellent racing today and there's nothing to keep us from completing the 2nd
annual Matco Tools Supernationals.
Racing will pick up pretty much where it left off last night, with Super
Street and Super Gas, followed by the remaining pair of Pro Stock cars from
the rain-interrupted second round and then the second round of Pro Stock
Motorcycle eliminations. The remaining Pro sessions should come around 11 AM
and again at 1 PM, to conclude the show.
No rumor control today, but we did find out about an interesting event at
John Force's race shop during the Winston Finals. Thursday, November 12, 5
PM - 8 PM, there will be a John Force Racing OPEN HOUSE & Mustang Cruise
Night at the John Force Racing Facility - 22722 Old Canal Road, Yorba Linda,
CA. The price is right, FREE admission with 2 cans of food for the Salvation
Army Food Bank.
You can get more details, as well as Force team information, on Force's
website at http://www.johnforceracing.com/.
