1:25 PM We've seen no rain yet, just lots of clouds and a light sprinkle at 9 AM. Right now the clouds are dark - but off to our left.

Jeg shows that there's nothing wrong with the right lane, with a big holeshot and a car length victory.

Just as the cars crossed the finish line, a light sprinkle started falling and things went on hold for a minute or two.

KJ looked like a clear winner here, but when his car came out from behind the shelter of the stands he got out of shape and had to lift, the stiff left-to-right crosswind apparently upsetting his car. Schmidt advances to the semifinals to face Jeg Coughlin, Coughlin with lane choice.

Pawuk got a big holeshot here, but couldn't get down the right lane cleanly and Yates, running more like he did last year than he has this season, won by half a car length.

Just as these two made their burnouts, the skies opened and it began to rain for real. The wind picked up and became very gusty, the temperature dropping rapidly. These two headed for the pits, followed closely by all the cars in the staging lanes, the crews scurrying for shelter and the stands clearing rapidly.

We'll be down for a couple hours, at least.
