11:39 AM There's a strong tailwind for this round, so speeds will be up.

Edwards got a huge holeshot, but had problems on the top end and had to shut it off.

Krisher treed "Cowboy" but Pawuk had the power to reel him back in and win by just under three feet.

Nobile only got a small advantage at the start and Stevens had the power to make that up immediately.

Finally none of the holeshots paid off, Jeg winning by just under four feet. He loses lane choice to Stevens for round two.

Troy had problems right up to his final qualifying run, but his only problem here was the car in the other lane, KJ winning easily and holding lane choice over Schmidt in round two.
