Langdon Sets Speed Record, Wins Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals with Vandergriff, T. Coughlin & Hall

MARTIN, Mich. – On a day when Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon again made the fastest run in Top Fuel history, the standout powered to the win on Monday at the Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR, defeating Spencer Massey in the final round at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park to finish off one of the most dominant days in NHRA history.

Jordan Vandergriff (Funny Car), Troy Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) and John Hall (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the 15th of 20 races during the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the first of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Top Fuel driver Shawn Langdon kicked off the Countdown to the Championship playoffs with a win at the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR when he defeated Spencer Massey on Monday at US 131 Motorsports Park. Shawn Langdon clocked a stout 3.664-second pass at 346.15 mph, after previously setting a new national speed record in the semifinals. Langdon is now the new Top Fuel points leader.

Jordan Vandergriff, Chevy Camaro, 3.858 seconds, 329.43 mph defeated Matt Hagan, Dodge Charger, 8.357 seconds, 84.97 mph.

Jordan Vandergriff won his third Funny Car race of the season on Monday at the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR at US 131 Motorsports Park when he defeated four-time champion Matt Hagan. Vandergriff raced to a 3.886-second pass at 327.51 mph, coming out of the No. 16 qualifier spot.

Pro Stock winner Troy Coughlin Jr. drives the JEGS Pro Stock Car.
Troy Coughlin Jr., Chevy Camaro, 6.515 seconds, 209.69 mph defeated Matt Hartford, Camaro, 6.527 seconds, 208.14 mph.

Troy Coughlin Jr. earned his first Pro Stock race since 2024 when he won the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR on Monday at US 131 Motorsports Park. Coughlin ran a 6.515-second pass at 209.69 mph to defeat Matt Hartford and securing his sixth career Pro Stock win.

Pro Stock winner John Hall rides the Outlaw Beer/Matt Smith Racing Buell John Hall, Buell, 6.808 seconds, 194.22 mph defeated Marc Ingwersen, EBR, Foul - Red Light.

Pro Stock Motorcycle rider John Hall won the first race of the 2026 Countdown to the Championship when he defeated Marc Ingwersen on Monday at the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR at US 131 Motorsports Park. Hall’s 6.808-second pass at 194.22 mph gave him his fifth career win and first of the 2026 season.

Top Fuel’s Shawn Langdon set a new NHRA national speed record on Sunday at the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by MOPAR at US 131 Motorsports Park when clocked a 346.95 mph pass in 3.663 seconds. He reset his previous record of 345.00 mph from earlier this season in Valdosta.
