BROWNSBURG, Ind. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Mountain Motor Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 64th annual Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Trevor Eman Runs 7.073/163.02, Now #2
Right Lane: John Deflorian Jr Runs 6.383/221.16, Now #1

12:21 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 89 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 29.20 inches, adjusted altitude 3,793 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

Deflorian launched and his car was all over his lane as he made his was down the track. Eman went straighter down the groove in his lane but was not as fast as Deflorian.

Left Lane: John Montecalvo Runs 6.399/220.51, Now #2
Right Lane: Brad Waddle Runs 13.913/73.95, Now #4

Waddle launched his car and the rear tires got loose right away. He clicked it off and coasted down the track. Montecalvo went straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Dwayne Rice Runs 6.512/209.65, Now #4
Right Lane: John Konigshofer Runs 6.459/218.09, Now #3

Both drivers went straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Elijah Morton Runs 6.401/220.19, Now #3
Right Lane: Dillon Voss Runs 6.491/216.72, Now #5

Both cars went down the groove. Morton took the number three spot in the order, Voss took number four.
