Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #3

MARTIN, Mich. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Inaugural NHRA Great Lakes Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.874/187.97, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.810/197.11, Was #9

Weather conditions: air temperature 66 degrees, relative humidity 84 percent, barometer 29.96 inches, adjusted altitude 1,922 feet, track temperature 75 degrees.

Van Sant with a good pass early, but was off the throttle early.

Left Lane: Mark Paquette Runs 15.582/48.83, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.091/170.78, Was #13
Right Lane: Mathieu Dube Runs 7.780/172.22, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.543/175.64, Was #14

Paquette with problems right at the hit and pulled in the clutch.

Dube with a clean pass.

Left Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.896/192.97, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.933/192.55, Was #12

Ingwersen is straight down the groove with a good pass, his quickest pass this weekend.

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.691/146.58, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.803/194.64, Was #8
Right Lane: Geno Scali Runs 6.894/196.16, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.853/197.02, Was #10

Johnson clicks it off early.

Scali with a clean pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 6.764/200.00, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.790/197.98, Was #7
Right Lane: Clayton Howey Runs 6.878/195.06, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.858/195.31, Was #11

Hall is straight down the groove with his quickest pass, he moves up the ladder one spot.

Howey with a clean pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: Ronnie Procopio Runs 11.724/72.82, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.782/198.15, Was #7
Right Lane: Angie Smith No Time, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.737/196.51, Was #2

Procopio with problems right at the hit and clicked it off

Smith with problems right at the hit and came to a stop around 330 feet.

Left Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.779/199.38, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.760/200.00, Was #5
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.804/200.45, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.740/197.02, Was #3

Herrera is straight down the groove with the second quickest pass of the session.

Smith with a good looking pass.

Left Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 8.559/109.49, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.746/200.00, Was #4
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.724/200.98, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.719/200.80, Was #1

Gadson with problems early and clicked it off.

Oehler with another great pass, he makes the quickest pass of the session.
