Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Session #2

MARTIN, Mich. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Inaugural NHRA Great Lakes Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.826/332.35, Now #11; Best prior run: 9.726/71.62, Was #14
Right Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.762/334.08, Now #6; Best prior run: 10.292/78.47, Was #16

Weather conditions: air temperature 72 degrees, relative humidity 60 percent, barometer 30.20 inches, adjusted altitude 1,916 feet, track temperature 108 degrees.

Hart is straight down the groove with a good clean pass.

Millican kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to get off the bump spot to the number six spot.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 3.779/331.86, Now #8; Best prior run: 8.502/69.47, Was #15
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.437/189.16, Now #15; Best prior run: 10.272/86.92, Was #16

Brown kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to move into the top half of the show.

Schumacher started to drop cylinders and clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 3.682/334.82, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.014/240.64, Was #14
Right Lane: Kyle Satenstein Runs 8.089/77.16, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.888/81.48, Was #16

Kalitta launched hard and kept it hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot.

Satenstein shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Maddi Gordon Runs 8.363/77.28, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.832/318.70, Was #14
Right Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 3.812/317.57, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.801/333.58, Was #11

gordon lost traction right at the hit and clicked it off.

Reed with another good pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: Kyle Wurtzel Runs 3.758/325.38, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.799/321.43, Was #10
Right Lane: Spencer Massey Runs 3.792/327.27, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.811/327.51, Was #12

Wurtzel kept it hooked up to move into the top half of the show.

Massey is straight down the groove to move up the ladder one spot.

Left Lane: Billy Torrence Runs 3.736/334.57, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.744/341.43, Was #5
Right Lane: Will Smith Runs 3.736/333.58, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.762/305.29, Was #9

Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up to move up the ladder one spot.

Smith is straight down the groove to go to the number five spot..

Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 4.910/143.40, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.748/333.58, Was #7
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 3.698/339.37, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.732/334.82, Was #3

Ashley lost traction early and clicked it off.

Langdon launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot.

Left Lane: Leah Pruett Runs 4.569/164.35, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.743/328.23, Was #6
Right Lane: Tony Stewart Runs 8.675/75.82, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.714/339.62, Was #3

Pruett starts to haze the tires and clicks it off.

Stewart is up in smoke early and clicked it off.
