POMONA, Calif. - The exciting final race of the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series takes place this weekend at California's legendary In-N-Out Burger Pomona Drag Strip, in a race that will not only crown this season's Mission Foods World Champions but also lay the foundation for another dramatic year of NHRA drag racing in 2026.

Pro Stock Motorcycle's "Iron Man", Steve Johnson, and his team will roll into In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip for the final race of the Countdown to the Championship seeking to fulfill a lifelong quest.

"Born and raised less than an hour away from Pomona, my goal has always been to claim a victory and raise the Wally in front of my family and my hometown friends," said Johnson.

Known for his extreme passion and devotion to the sport of drag racing throughout his career, Johnson has taken the lead in building and maintaining their own engines. "It's not the best financial move for our NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle team, but it's one of the most exciting things I've ever tried to tackle."

"Having success at the shop on the dyno is the first step," explained Johnson enthusiastically. "With the power we have now, I'm driving a 625-pound rocket with no back seat, that's pulling 3 g's of force with the front wheel in the air. When I drive it perfectly and make every shift point at the exact right second and it equates to one of the quickest elapsed times in the class, the sense of pride is absolutely incredible. That's why winning at home is so important to us."

The 2025 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals will be Johnson's class leading 520th NHRA national event, which also includes a class leading 810 rounds of competition. Johnson will be finishing in the Top Ten of the season ending NHRA Misson Foods point standings for 25th time, an amazing accomplishment for an independent race team. It's that kind of commitment to the sport of drag racing that cements Steve Johnson as one of the fan favorites on the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing tour.
