POMONA, Calif. - As the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season reaches its conclusion, Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel team roll into the iconic In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with eyes set on delivering a powerful finish at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals.

Ashley and is SCAG Toyota team overcame an uncharacteristic slow start-with just one round win in the opening three races-to notch four victories in seven final round appearances across the season, including triumphs at the Virginia Nationals, the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, his first-ever Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals win at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and a Countdown to the Championship conquest at the NHRA 4-Wide Carolina Nationals in Charlotte.

These standout performances and sharp starting-line execution, have him sitting third in the Top Fuel points standings, 163 behind leader Doug Kalitta and just 21 behind second place Shawn Langdon entering the season finale.

"Although we are not competing for the world championship, our goal does not change," Ashley added. "We want to win. It's important that we secure a high points finish. Every round is very critical this weekend from qualifying to raceday, especially being that it's points in a half. There'll be opportunities out there. We want to take advantage of them."

With two wins in the last six races, Ashley is coming off back-to-back quarterfinal finishes at the Texas NHRA FallNationals and Nevada Nationals where he qualified third and sixth respectively.

Ashley's affinity for Pomona Dragstrip runs deep, where he has etched his legacy with four consecutive Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals final round appearances with victories from 2022 to 2024. Though he's coming off first-round exits at the 2024 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, which dashed championship hopes, and a first round loss this spring at the Winternationals, Ashley returns to In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip with unfinished business.

"We are fully ingrained in finding ways to continue bettering our program," said Ashley. "[Crew chiefs] Tommy [DeLago] and Jason [McCulloch] deserve a lot of credit in that regard. They immediately came in and made an impact both on and off the racetrack in Las Vegas. I know they expect more of the same in Pomona."

Competition at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals begins with four rounds of qualifying Friday at 12:30 and 3:00 p.m. and Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. before eliminations begins Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Television coverage of the 2025 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series finale will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with qualifying shows Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. ET. Eliminations will air Sunday at 5:00 p.m. ET with a special Post Race Show at 8:00 p.m. ET.
