GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 51st annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals:

Shields with the starting line advantage and never trails for the win as Griffis-Smallwood is up in smoke right at the hit.

Shields is straight down the groove with a good looking pass.

Meyer's car pulls the front end around 330 feet and she pedals it and then it pulls the front end again and she pedals it one more time.

cummings is driving the Rich McPhillips car. He is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend.

Fox Jr. with a slight starting line advantage, but Cowie has the lead by the time they go by Christmas tree and never trails. Cowie bangs the blower just before 1000 feet and he coast to the win. He will give up lane choice to Cummings in the next round.

Fox Jr. was on a good pass until the top end.
