This was a scary one. Bernstein gets the hole-shot and he starts to pull away. Force never
really makes up any ground until past the 1000 foot mark. Bernstein then starts drifting to the
left, takes out the last timing cone, then runs into Force after the finish-line. Force gets the
worst end of the situation, his car hitting the wall, the body flies off, then finally comes to a
stop. Word from the top end, both drivers are out of the cars and alert but they will be taking
Force to the hospital to be checked out. The good news for Force, he moves into fourth place in the countdown with this win. Preliminary reports are that Force may have two broken legs and a broken hand but further evaluation will be needed. He was Life-flighted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas. |
