This is the session all the gas power fans have been waiting for. Most of the top teams have been saying that they left just a bit on the table on even their best runs. Though the temperature is rising rapidly and the track has seen full sun load since daybreak, we still have what is probably national record conditions.

Jason Line thinks there's a 6.54 or 6.55 if everything goes right, but his boss Greg Anderson just laughed when he was asked if there was a record for the taking.

This is Connolly's 81st start in Pro Stock and the 16th time he's faced Kurt. Kurt is here on race day for the 300th time and is looking to even his record with Connolly, as the record is 8-7 in favor of Dave.

And it's a classic race just like we expected. Kurt had some wiggles through second and third and that's all it took. The cars left exactly together
