Anderson staged looking for his record-setting 14th win of the season. Line was looking to solidify his hold on second place in the season points standings.

Line had the quicker start and went on to set a new track ET record on his way to the win. The win, coupled with Connolly's second-round loss, helped Line pull ahead in the race for second in the Pro Stock season championship, behind Anderson. It was Line's fourth win of the season.
